Here we go with John Lewis. Thundering about "demagogery." And soaring rhetoric of "walking where angels fear to tread." It is truly remarkable to see black politicians -- especially people like John Lewis, who honrably fought for civil rights -- come down against this. If his and Eleanor Holmes Norton's arguments of states rights won the day in the 50s and 60s, blacks still wouldn't be voting. To see black Democrats now trumpet states rights is just bizarre.
Bingo. Lewis' hypocrisy made me physically ill.
