"This debate is surreal. It really is unfathomable that there are people arguing on the House floor that an innocent woman should be starved and dehydrated to death."

Just what I felt, unbelievable, nightmarish really.

Dittos to that. My husband and I are sitting here in rapt attention, watching this amazing debate on C-SPAN. Absolutely incredible. Prayers to Terri and to her family...

Apart from moral and legal concerns an important principle is at stake. That principle is a medical one. Is a person who requires a feeding tube open to being legally disposed of?

This woman is not in a vegetative state, no one really knows her level of consciousness/awareness and she surely is not dying.

What the courts have decided to do is to actively end this woman's life. This what the case should be decided upon by the Federal Courts. That is, can a district court judge sentence a person to death who cannot communicate their wishes in the matter of life or death? Why this is not the question, I do not know.

The courts have run amok for too long. Sooner or later actions will be required to restore the three equal branches of government. One does not need a religious reason to actualize this necessity, only a constitutional guarantee against run away judges enforcing their preconceived morality on all.

Hurry and turn on Drudge. He's going to play the audio tape of Terri minutes before they pulled out her feeding tube. Here's the thread
