If he had taken 100 other wives, would he still hold absolute veto power over the unanimous view of the rest of her family? At which point does abandonment take effect? Excellent points that the courts should decide. ?Unfortunately for society, the courts no longer take morality into effect when making decisions (thank the state legislatures as well for allowing no-fault divorces).
Hopefully tonight is the first step in re-introducing a higher level of morality into the legal system!
