Robbers shot and killed an ice cream vendor Saturday and held up two other ice cream vendors in separate incidents in Oak Cliff, police said.
Dallas police investigate the shooting death of a man who was selling ice cream on Emmett Street near Brighton Avenue. Alfonso Fuentes, 28, of Dallas was shot in the chest, police said. He died about 6:20 p.m.

Sometimes the number 13 mearly stands for Marijuana because M is the 13th letter of the alphabet.
Well, thanks to the great internationalist Justice Kennedy, these little slime know they can't be executed for their crimes. So I'd expect the ranks of teenaged murderers to grow.
Well, I did say 'wantabees'.......whatever the reason, local news said this dead vendor, was probably killed & robbed for less than 100 bucks.
Too bad he wasn't armed to defend himself.

Dallas police believe two teenagers are responsible for at least three robberies and one fatal shooting on Saturday.
The crime spree led to the murder of ice cream vendor Alfonso Fuentes, 28. He was gunned down in Oak Cliff after the robbery of another ice cream vendor. Dallas police announced Sunday that two arrests had been made. Police arrested the suspects, a 14-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, at their individual homes in Oak Cliff.
The men could face capital murder charges.
The attacks come on the heels of a report that ranks Dallas first in the nation in terms of big city crime.
"There are no excuses for being the number one crime city in America," Mayor Laura Miller said Saturday. "We're going to get those numbers down."
Dallas police have ambitious goals for 2005, including an overall crime reduction of 10 percent and a 20 percent drop in the homicide rate.
To do that, police are deploying more officers on weekends and overnight hours.

Hopefully at least the 18 yr. his due punishment.
You know the dying guy said he was shot by two young latino's......I wonder if they're from mexico & now the mexican gov't can also come to their defense ??

Now we need *armed* ice cream vendors to protect themselves from their *armed* teenage customers.
Maybe parents should have their kids wear bullet proof vests now, when out in the neighborhoods.........:o(

Sheesh.....Dallas has reported some pretty bizarre crimes & murders in the last few months.
Shootouts on the freeways, drive-bys, shoot to kill purse snatchers, kidnappings, the resent 'sun roof' shootings, etc.etc.
