Actually, Grima Wormtongue counseled inactivity in the face of Mordor's actions. He never said "all is lost" ..but quite the contrary. Interesting that you folks, who pretend to be Americans, don't know the character which all of America recognizes. Wormtongue earned his nick-name, and was in fact an agent for Sauron, eh...constantly sooth-saying no matter how bad things were.
