[World News]: By March 18 : An anthrax sensor -- the third in the Washington, D.C. area this week -- went off Friday afternoon in a remote mail-handling facility of the Defense Intelligence Agency located at Bolling Air Force Base southeast of the U.S. Capitol.
"This morning the DIA remote delivery facility was closed due to an initial positive test of incoming mail for hazardous biological agents," Defense Department spokesman Major Paul Swiergosz told United Press International.Personnel on the scene were asked to stay, Swiergosz said, and local officials were called.
Friday's alarm follows two similar alerts, one at a remote mail delivery facility on the Pentagon grounds and another in the mail room of a Defense Department complex of leased offices in Falls Church, Va.In all cases the alerts were specific for anthrax, spokesmen from several federal agencies said.Tests following the first two alerts -- and tests after the current alarm at DIA -- have so far failed to find further signs of anthrax spokesmen assured UPI.

Again?!
Please ignore above "New thread" - technical error.
Probably just a "drill" or coincidence:)
Previously:
The Defense Department's top health official said that there is no evidence of deadly anthrax, in Pentagon.
However, the tests are still under their process until an ultimate answer for the persistence of anthrax is derived.
"We have no evidence that there was anthrax material in the mail," Winkenwerder told reporters.
Winkenwerder noted that an initial test came back as positive for the anthrax bacterium at a mail-processing facility located on the grounds of the Pentagon, the colossal headquarters for the U.S. military.
Assistant Defense Secretary for Health Affairs William Winkenwerder said these tests provided "reassuring news," but stopped short of declaring the situation a false alarm pending the completion of additional tests.

This should put a stop to false positives.
Don't want to make too much of it, but maybe someone's probing the system.
" maybe someone's probing the system."
A reasonable hypothesis.
Maybe it's the same "someone" who probed the system on September 18 2001?
Either they are hiding something or they just rolled out a new early test procedure that might be more sensitive but is not that reliable.
Nothing to see here, move along...

That's a pretty ignorant headline. The other two were proven to be false alarms. As this one will probably be as well.
Thanks for that information and ping!
A correspondent just forwarded me a news report, which says:
1. The tests were positive for anthrax;
2. There was no mix-up;
3. The strain involved was AMES- same as used in the 2001 attacks.

I'm not sure of credibility of the report. It LOOKS legit !
