There is absolutely NO constitutional reason for the House today; whatever they pass, the USSC will strike it down.

To me, this is a case of be careful what you ask for; in their haste, and by the end of the day, Congress might have passed a law that affects each and every one of us.

This is about buying time. I am not sure why providing access to the federal courts would be unconsitutional.

Congress manages to muck everything up. Personally, I'm typically pretty happy when they are out of session :-)

the USSC will strike it down.

It will be done without comment from the on duty Judge. It is a virtual certainty.

They don't need a reason...... they can pass whatever they please..... And that's the purpose of the courts to reign them in at times...... So the process is working its way to completion.. I predict:

Lots of anguish and hand wringing
Lots of posturing for the MSM
More cut/paste by the Freaks

I believe I heard that President Bush asked Congress to stick around the weekend to act on this. Do you disagree with President Bush?

This is the most IMPORTANT response I have seen today.
