How did he do that?By proposing a bill that regulates intrastate commerce when the Constitution plainly says that is not within their pervue.

Innocent lives, including law enforcement officials, are at risk and we need to pass this legislation now. Gun laws should be there to protect the innocent; not help criminals and terrorists"
Exactly why this bill should be defeated. Why create a hostile atmosphere where only the criminals are armed. Is the whole country to become a criminal empowerment zone?

T4 is cool! I have it on DVD. Love the expression on Gummer's face when he starts firing the Gatling Gun at the end of the movie.

How's he going to sign something that won't even reach his desk?

I'm not so sanguine. I think it will get there.

I'm not worried in the least. This measure is DOA in the House, just like the renewal of the AWB was.

Well, let's first murder Schiavo, then we can protect horses and caribou and "law enforcement" agents by writing more gun control legislation. If you do, use a baseball bat, so the Senate can follow up on the Steroid Hearings by banning baseball.

Springfield M1 Garand's do blow up sometimes. Click on the pic below for a few more photos.
This was a new rifle and factory rounds. It blew up on the 13th shot. Humblegunner was a witness.

Did you ever post the cause of the blow-up?
By the way, I do very much like that brass mulch y'all use down there. Spring iz come to the so-called Free State and I believe that could dress up the front yard right nice.

No, nothing was stuck in the barrel. We are kinda picky about that.
The actual cause was never determined. Operator error was ruled out as one cannot insert a round or clip (not magazine) incorrectly enough to cause this. There was a lot of discussion about things I really wasn't clear on as I am not a smith. I am pinging TexasCowboy and humblegunner as it was TC's rifle and humble was there, maybe they can remember.
I do remember that it was one hell of a suprise. A month after the incident I had to get a piece of the shell casing dug out of my breast bone. Still have a neat scar.
As to the brass that range doesn't allow collecting it but don't do a good job cleaning it up. I don't shoot at American Shooting Center anymore.
