State Pulls Abortion Doctor's License
News 7 Laruel-Hatiesburg, MS ^ | 18 March 2005

A Laurel doctor who performed more than 35,000 abortions because he needed the money to pay expenses and educate his children has been indefinitely suspended from practicing medicine in Mississippi.

The state medical board took the action Thursday against 54-year-old Dr. Malachy Dehenre.

The Laurel resident testified that he did not like performing the abortions but did so because he needed the work. During Thursday's hearing, Dehenre asked for forgiveness, saying: "I don't want to be an outcast. I want to be among the medical community."

The state of Alabama took similar action last year after a woman died 18 hours after having an abortion.

Dehenre must regain his license in Alabama before seeking reinstatement in Mississippi.

I do not understand how these "doctors" can live with themselves. They have no conscience.

To show how sorry he is for his wrongdoings, he will take a community service job doing court-mandated feeding-tube-removals from disabled women.

If this isn't grounds to legislate mandatory independent counseling and parental consent, I don't know what possibly could be.

35,000 Abortions! How long has this guy been in the grisly business? Were they all done in MS?

Assuming the fastest that this guy could snuff out another young life was, say, 15 minutes, and he worked 8 hours a day, that's 32 a day. With the average work month of 22 days, that's 704 per month, or 8,848 per year.

Working at peak efficiency, and doing nothing else during his grisly "working hours", this "doctor" would have had to spend approximately 4.14 years destroying those 35,000 souls.

Can you imagine the outcry if any town(s) in MS were gouged out and swiped clean (graphic description intended) of 35,000 lives by some terrorists?

Would there be an outcry if the current abortion count on some "Another Soul Destroyed" running meter were posted in the daily MS newspapers and Television stations as part of their "reporting"?

Can you imagine them (media) reporting such data, even if it was readily available?

May God forgive those women (and their enabling husbands/boyfriends/lovers) for those lost souls.
