Terri's case wouldn't even be a case if she had done that.

And the fact that she didn't means that MS's word on it shouldn't be worth a grain of salt. The absence of the desire to die should be construed to be a desire to live. We should always error on the side of life if there is doubt.

I completely agree with that. However, the trial court heard testimony from three people, perhaps all liars, that did provide evidence of what Terri wanted. Now, what's the court supposed to do?
