There seems to be a number of law professor opinions that the Federal government is powerless to enforce it's will over that of a state judge. I wonder how quickly the Federal marshalls would show up if it was proven that a granite monument to the 10 commandments was suddenly discovered next to Terry Schiavo's bed? The press would be absolutely beside themselves at the horror of the idea.. It seems that when a serious threat to the Republic is found, the Feds can move rather smartly. To Terry's parents: state judges can be thwarted.
