Right, yet we can´t prevent it. So shall a disabled (not Terri, this is a different case) who cannot feel anything any longer be kept alive even though this means much pain for his family, and even though he has written that he wishes otherwise? I want my will to be respected. I don´t think anybody else except me has the right to overrule my free will on decisions affecting my life. I´m not advocating to end Terris life, I just say that there may be situations when patients don´t want to live anymore - and I wouldn´t want to be in such a situation for many years!
