If a man punches a woman in the face, its not a question of "inefficiencies"; its a question of relative strength. That's why we don't allow co-ed sports competitions. Men are much stronger than women and few women can beat a man when it comes to muscle mass. In other areas, quite possibly. But not when comes to throwing one's weight around.
