This seems odd. Florida has a searchable website for sex offenders/predators.

A search for John Couey gets no hits.

They also have a website for current/former inmates in six different databases.

No hits on any of those databases, either. There were hits for Edward Folsom Couey, James S. Couey, and Terry L. Couey.

I googled "sex offenders florida citrus county" and found Couey's name here. Sadly, when I clicked on "Display Photo View" the page was so slow to load even with my cable connection, I doubt others have to patience to familiarize themselves with these predators.
