why not Guiliani?? i hear she is not liked in up-state ny??

She has become much better-liked in upstate New York than anyone expected five years ago. Her approval ratings are high. Congressional Republicans from New York have good experiences working with her. She is not going to be defeated in 2006 in New York State and no serious Republican wants to risk his political capital to try. She will run for the nomination for President in 2007 and 2008, and if she wins, she will take 45% of the vote in November and no more.

yeah I would have thought the one Republican in NY who could beat Hillary is Rudy, but I don't think Rudy is interested in the Senate

because after all Hillary is now just pretending to be Rudy lite, and if she becomes too centrist, sorry pretends to be too centrist, isn't she going to alienate some of the radical left base of the Democratic party? not that they have any other choice to vote for.....
