Bo Gritz was involved in the Patriot movement, which has had its share of ultra right wing extremists. Some of them have been arian nation seperatists. However, this movement is gone and most of its members have gone on to other endeavors.

Even though David Duke once put Gritz on the vice presidential ticket in a bid to run for president, Gritz stepped off the ticket after only a few days. Gritz even ran for president for the Populist Party. However, He has avoided making anti-semitic statements and, upon marrying Judy Kirsch, has become involved with Dan Gayman's Missouri-based Church of Israel. He has since left that church and now attends Rose Hill Covenant Church which espouses the Christian Identity movement. Such a movement does have members who call Jews a satanic race, that is not necessarily Bo Gritz's thinking. He has said, “My purpose is to put patriotism in action and do more than talk about problems." And, "I can assure you that if I was ever convinced that it was God’s Will for me to commit an act of violence against the laws of our land, I would hesitate only long enough to, like Gideon, be certain.
