You're right but I'd suspect that this was a staged photo event rather than an ordinary day at the range, especially since the picture was taken from down-range.

I was not the original poster, but it runs in my mind that the pic came from either Esquire or perhaps GQ. Most shooting pictures I have are staged as well.
