Heh... ex-senator Daschle defended his own previous vote against drilling the ANWR by claiming it would take ten years for the oil to reach the market. He gave no explanation for how *not* drilling it would help the energy crisis, as it isn't likely to improve with age.
Barbara Boxer, in the SF Chronicle:

I know this was yesterday's thread, but I agree. We were given these resources to USE.

Uh, no. He's going to be more interested in how we feel about evolution, because that will indicate whether or not we believe in Him and His son.
Maybe so. But He didn't put oil under those places....
Now what makes them think that? I would expect we would be asked how we treated other people--now how we treated a blade of grass or a weed. Sheesh.
The Demos are also assuming that ANWR will be ruined.
