Ooooh, strong stuff. can't say I blame them though. I wonder what she meant by "a product of the environment he grew up in". I thought he had a pretty good upbringing? Maybe I heard wrong.
I do believe that Scotts mother has had a rough life....her father was murdered, she had been married at least once before she married Lee Peterson. I don't think she is a very nice person...quite manipulative and that's where Scott learned it.
