Yep. If Gritz and his flying monkeys cause something like that down in FL, it won't matter one whit what the "cause" was.
It will make the Terri Supporters look like lunatics, one and all.
How the Hell can they consider that "worth it"? Don't answer, I know, I know...

lunatics wanting to chain her to the public forum So you believe pro-lifers are lunatics, not her bloodthirsty, cheating husband? You seem ill-informed to say the least. She won't be executed on Friday. She won't be given a hotshot of adrenalin, like in the movie. She will be starved to death. You can read, in another thread, the trauma that causes in those engaged in hunger strikes. You can read that nurses at the facility are prepared, literally, to sedate her, with drugs, because of the PAIN she will suffer for day after day after day after day after day until she finally perishes.

You can tell Gritz that his help isn't needed, wanted, or asked for, and CC all news outlets to that effect. Distance yourselves from him, preferably LONG distance, as bullets have a way of flying in with his monkeys.
Do NOT take part in any action of his, and makeclear to all and sunder that he is acting ON HIS OWN, and his actions are not supported or approved of in any way by Terri's supporters.
If you can, chain him to a chair and gag him.

tell Gritz that his help isn't needed He's not known to be pro-life, is he? But if it's a knock-down dragout just to get in there to prevent the staff from slowly murdering her, then pro-lifers might have to muscle past Gritz and his camp. I think it's preferable that simply the assembly and/or the Governor step forward, as part of 'the system', to stop this travesty - hopefully once for all. They could do it. And they have to do it.

I don't know, but somehow, someone has to pay attention to the farce this entire mess is built on.
We will just have to see. It is not a "stunt" to attempt to affect a citizen's arrest in this case.
I don't see my Gov. Jeb remanding DCF to take her into protective custody after a judge (not) rules that a state agency MANDATED by law cannot excercise their duties.
This is a slap in the fact of Jeb, and he was idiotic enough to not do ANYTHING!
Of course, maybe he is waiting for DCF appeal promised by 2nd court by 5pm tomorrow to see what happens.
The issue all along is not just keeping the tube in, but to get her out of that hospice.
If Gritz accomplishes it, so be it.

I would certainly support some sort of civil disobedience such as kidnapping and transporting Terri out of state if all other options failed. I would hope you would too.

I happen to agree that feeding tubes are an artificial life support and my will says don't do it. That is my legal choice. I had to put it in writing to protect my wife from people who disagree with my legal choice. Good for you! Should those of us (millions in this country) who disagree with you have to put in writing that we WANT to be fed? The law in this state say we are to be fed..... oh, yeah, when they change the law, they can make it retroactive.

Ummm...he is my Governor too, and this is not one misstep. He had a chance to get the ball rolling with DCF long before the first Terri's law was struck down.
The ball was dropped. People only pay attention when people like us from all over the world demand rights for Terri.
She languished another 1-1/2 years in that death house.
It would be wrong for them to do it, but I wonder if the Demers court will rule agains DCF based on that fact.

In the absence of any written instructions, I will leave it up to your surviving spouse or next-of-kin. It will not be any of my business. Which ever way it goes, I will pray for your soul and pray that Gods will be done.

Is it a lie to say that Terri was never given an MRI scan of her brain?Did her husband ask for millions of dollars for the sole purpose of taking care of Terri and then claim she wanted to die as soon as he received the money?Has he denied her even basic stimulation like sunlight and fresh air?Why does he want her cremated when it's against her religion? What did he do with the money that he never spent on her treatment? Why would he refuse to let Terri get therapy that would teach her to swallow so she wouldn't need a feeding tube? Why would he lie on TV and claim death by starvation is painless and peaceful? What is it about Terri regaining the ability to speak that has him so scared that he's doing everything he can to kill her.How did Terri end up with so many injuries? These are a few questions I would like to have answered.

Terri's wishes not to be sustained using artificial tubes were litigated in court, where several witnesses were called. The court found "clear and convincing evidence" of Terri's wishes. But the court discounted contrary evidence when the court mistakenly assumed that Karen Ann Quillen died when her respirator was removed, not years later. That 'mistake' makes a BIG difference in the actual evidence.
