Some opinions come closer to the reasonable man standard than others. Your interlocutor made a rather compelling case that the guardian in question had both an inherent conflict of interest, and a manifested conflict. Thus I find his opinion the opinion of a reasonable man.

So says this near atheist, who has no moral problem with suicide, or assisted suicide, or the "murder" of folks in a demonstrably permanent vegetative state paid for by the state. But all of those opinions are not per se susceptible to the reasonable man standard, but are rather more in the nature of leaps of faith, and a priori judgments.

Yes, but he is serious and law enforcement has to take the filing seriously.

This is what has to happen when you have one judge openly defying the law.

This has happened so much in this case, it's disgusting.

Col. Gritz has earned several excellent view spots in Heaven. God has gifted him with a courage that one should be in awe of.

If I was ever in a bad situation like this, I would want him to help me.

He, and his lovely wife Judy are blessed.

the latest in St. Pete resort wear, I like it. Wish they were really for sale.

Has Michael seen that great graphic yet? It should be on a sign! That is too good not to be seen at hospice and around town.

Terri's hell is only because of Michael's doing. Let the woman have rehab!

What's holding you back from going to your heavenly Father? Oh, the same thing that's holding Terri from going. Food and water. (I just got finished taking a break for a bit of life sustaining treatment.)

Normally i don't post to these kinds of threads, but I just thought that the entry into the fray of Bo Gritz would provide some food for thought.

Was it not Gritz who launched a "secret" mission to Southeast Asia to search for American POW's, and announced said "secret" mission at a news conference? Then proceeded to foray into Southeast Asia armed with four semi-auto UZIs and a pistol, to expected results (I.E., he was arrested and kicked out)?

And hasn't Gritz been the same gadfly who has been involved in EVERY nutjob "hostage" crisis in recent memory?

And didn't he try to run a laughable campaign for President once?

Pooh, looks like this case is now attracting the SERIOUS whackjobs.

Yes and yes.

Some dang fool is going to ask himself "WWMD?" ("What Would Matsuidon Do?")

You're on dangerous ground with these folks in the "Schiavo" threads. They're fanatics that assume that there are a bunch of people who want her murdered, and are unwilling to even look at the possibility that she wants this and articulated it to others.

Florida state law makes no difference to them. Court-appointed doctor findings make no difference to them either, and as a matter-of-fact, they'll start screaming "CONSPIRACY" faster than you can respond.

My advice to you, tread lightly (unless you're into the abuse).

If they are consistent with the meanings of yes and no they certainly would be by many rational people, particularly those who have taken care of others with various *disabilities*.

If you are talking about the one where an FBI sharpshooter shot and killed Vicky Weaver while she was holding her child, yes he got involved in that.

That's a rather condescending and unnecessary comment.

Mocking God now???

Praying God's will be done and leaving it in God's hands is mocking God? Wow, I never knew!

You REALLY need to look up Gritz's antics, man. The guy has run and associated with some B-A-D people, I'm talking neo-Nazis here, in addition to pulling some outlandish and crazed stunts.

Yes, he was a hero in Vietnam. That doesn't make him a lifelong saint.

Trust me, he's one guy you do NOT want in this, or those he'll attract with him.

Gritz will make this thing a carnival, especially if his more...unsavory acolytes accompany him.

I really hope those folks who think that his entry is a good idea look him up.
