Your logic seems to be the medical facts and courts are all wrong.

Physicians used to bleed people. Hell, the guillotine was an instrument of medical euthanasia. And no one said the courts are all wrong. Just the Florida ones....

"Her higher brain is missing and it can not be regrown."

REALLY?

Take a look at the following, and then ask if her higher brain is not working (this column is from 2003, when they tried to kill her last time):

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Terri Schiavo wants to live
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=35083
Terri Schindler-Schiavo does not want to die. She would like to go home. And she tried to convey this to her father in no uncertain terms by sitting bolt upright and trying to get out of her chair when told she might be killed, her family has revealed.
The stunning news was released yesterday afternoon by Terri's father, Robert Schindler, at the 'round-the-clock vigil outside the Woodside Hospice facility in Pinellas Park, Fla., where his daughter's court-ordered death by starvation is scheduled to begin today at 2 p.m. Eastern. At that time, her husband and legal guardian Michael Schiavo is scheduled to give the order to disconnect the 39-year-old brain-disabled woman's feeding tube that has provided her with sustenance for the past 13 years.
In an interview a few hours earlier, Schindler described the incident to WorldNetDaily. He said he was holding a cell phone to Terri's ear as she listened intently to the speaker, propped in her jerry-chair at about a 30-degree angle. Suddenly she sat up straight and tried to get out of her chair, despite her weak legs and muscles that were slack from lack of exercise.
His daughter's response stunned Schindler, who grabbed the phone and asked, "My God, what did you tell her?"
The speaker said he had warned, "If you don't get up and get out of there, you're going to die there."
Do you think it's possible the court could have made a bad call?
Yes.
Nevertheless, the only people on record claiming that they will never respect Terri's wishes are the Schindlers. The Schindlers testified that they would keep Terri hooked up to a feeding tube against her own wishes.
Furthermore, the Schindlers would not consider removing Terri’s feeding tube even if Terri had her limbs amputated or a terribly crippling disease. The Schindlers would still not respect Terri's desire to have her tubes removed if she had gangrene and all her arms and legs were cut off. According to the Wolfson Report, (page 16) provided to Governor Jeb Bush by Court-Appointed Guardian Jay Wolfson, the Schindlers have no desire to respect Terri’s wishes not to be kept alive in a vegetative state.
Testimony provided by members of the Schindler family included very personal statements about their desire to ensure that Theresa remain alive. Throughout the course of the litigation, deposition and trial testimony by members of the Schindler family voiced the disturbing belief that they would keep Theresa alive at any and all costs. Nearly gruesome examples were given, eliciting agreement by family members that in the event Theresa should contract diabetes and subsequent gangrene in each of her limbs, they would agree to amputate each limb, and would then, were she to be diagnosed with heart disease, perform open heart surgery.
There was additional difficult testimony that appeared to established that despite the sad and undesirable condition of Theresa, the parents still derived joy from having her alive, even if Theresa might not be at all aware of her environment given the persistent vegetative state.
Within the testimony, as part of the hypotheticals presented, Schindler family members stated that even if Theresa had told them of her intention to have artificial nutrition withdrawn, they would not do it. Throughout this painful and difficult trial, the family acknowledged that Theresa was in a diagnosed persistent vegetative state.
FLe the real story with that photo is -- how was it taken? Date was 2/22, but who authorized it? And how was it released to the press? It does NOT preserve Terri's dignity, what's with that?
Society has the right to say "NO MORE". The Constitution provides the citizenry with the ability to reject tyranny. Just because it's "law" doesn't mean that society cannot say, "NO - the law is wrong."
"Remember that Judge Greer's rulings have been reviewed many times by higher courts."
Are you a Republican? If so, how much faith did you have that the Supreme Court of FL would reach any decision (correct or incorrect) that would favor Bush in Bush v. Gore? The court provided me with all the evidence I needed in that case by rewriting election law, post election, to know that the high courts in FL have been loaded to overrunneth with judges who ignore the law as written by the legislature and interpret it as whatever they would like it to be. The other troubling thing with Greer for me was his taking this case with him when the re-shuffle took place at the beginning of a new term. He was not in the middle of something so that another judge could not have taken over without much work to get caught up, and Terri's case no longer fit with the new assignment he had, yet he insisted on holding on to it. In addition to the articles by Melton that I read, those are the things legally that gave off a whiff of something just not right. As to your guess concerning liberal Democratic judges as opposed to conservative Republicans and what to expect, I've never seen any proof that Greer is anything but a Republican. A Democratic judge in the lower courts in FL might be well to the right of any Republican, but I don't think Greer's rulings have anything to do with an agenda, just money. Also, I don't believe that I am fixated on Greer, just curious why he would continually make such bad decisions that always favor Schiavo.
This is a piece about how Terri is a financial burden on us taxpayers and another reason why she should be starved to death.
It is becoming increasingly clear that time is not on Terri's side, and for the people to take matters into their own hands. Only a collective effort by the people will save Terri.
Praying for Terri.
Physicians used to bleed people.
They used to use leeches too. In fact they have found medical use for leeches today.
This is sad. Why would the Schindlers (and many FReepers) keep Terri in hell on earth rather than let her be with her heavenly Father?
The Supreme Court of Florida in 2005 is not the same as the Supreme Court of Florida in 2000.
Jeb Bush's appointees have ruled against the Schinders.
In your opinion, the court is wrong. In my opinion, the court is right. I have seen nothing to change my mind.
Only one problem with your statement.
First you must have a mind. Then you can change it !!! ;-))
Hi, Orecon -- I must disagree w/you on several points. Terri is most certainly not receiving the care she should be receiving. Regardless of anything else that may have happened earlier, at this point, her dental care has been neglected, she is not getting out and about in her wheelchair as would ordinarily be done for a patient like her (she had going on outings around St. Pete area in early 90's); she has not had a swallow test since '92, which is hard to believe since her ability to eat is what is going to kill her now.
I talked with a local physician / PhD who had examined her records, and he calls this "murder", period; other physicians I know who just saw the video and still photos (like the Terri Big Eyes series) said that's not PVS.
As far as Michael knowing her wishes:
From: http://www.zimp.org/stuff/contradictions.htm -- have you seen this before? I've been wading through things like this for the past yr and a half. It does not make Michael look good (not saying he's a murderer, but he is a bully)
September 27, 1999 Deposition of Michael Schiavo:
Page 48-49 (opposing attorney questioning)
Q. Have you considered turning the guardianship over to Mr. and Mrs. Schindler?
SCHIAVO: No, I have not.
Q. And why?
SCHIAVO: I think that's pretty self explanatory. [ h'mm -- you decide, after reading his explanation -- is it self explanatory? ]
Q. I'd like to hear your answer.
SCHIAVO: Basically I don't want to do it. [sounds like a brat's response]
Q. And why don't you want to do it?
SCHIAVO: Because they put me through pretty much hell the last few years. [self absorbed person who cannot put himself in someone else's shoes or feel compassion for them]
Q. And can you describe what you mean by hell?
SCHIAVO: The litigations they put me through. [poor baby! and what has he put them through? bearing in mind the strong bond they have with their daughter]
Q. Any other specifics besides the litigation?
SCHIAVO: Just their attitude towards me because of the litigations. There is no other reason. I'm Terri's husband and I will remain guardian. [so there, nyahnyahnyah. ]
Line 21
Mr. Felos: There may be a question or two of clarification. Can I have just a minute to talk with my client? [peeing in his pants]
Page 51
Cross Examination by Attorney Felos
Q. You were also asked a question about resigning as guardian or would you consider that. Upon reflection, is there anything that you want to add in response to that question?
SCHIAVO: Yeah. Another reason would be that her parents wouldn't carry out her wishes. [DOH! almost forgot to say the key phrase here!]
What kind of person would give responses like this? Considering he didn't remember until YEARS later -- after winning $$$ for promising to care for Terri for the rest of her life, est at trial to be 30 odd yrs -- that, oh, yeah, she really didn't want to be kept alive after all! And considering that her parents simply wanted to get their little girl back from her husband once he didn't want her or need her anymore.
BTW, I am also a life member NRA. This issue concerns me greatly, a bully holding an innocent woman and her family at bay. Thunder, gotta go.
I keep thinking, "what if I were Terri"? What would I want? No, I wouldn't want to live my life vegged out. BUT! If any husband of mine denied my family's right to come visit me whenever they wanted or have me cremated and buried far away from where my parents could visit the grave, my husband would be a heartless mofo. He certainly would not be honoring my wishes and therefore I would want my family to fight him merely on principle. His motives would be suspect if he wouldn't honor my family.
