TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- A state appeals court has refused to block the expected removal of Terri Schiavo's feeding tube on Friday.
That's all I have for the insane.
Now what part of the multiverse do you occupy where a common law wife and two children by that common law wife does not cause an inherent conflict of interest in a man who is trying to remove food and water from his "other" wife?
Forget everything else, zero in on this statute. Judge Greer is breaking the law. He should be thrown in jail.
Maybe I misunderstood your point.
But it's not like her parents want to deny morphine to her, so that she will suffer more, it's that they simply don't want to see her die!
That Terri's parents don't want morphine given, because that might kill her quicker, that's true I'm sure.
By denying morphine to Terri, are you saying that Terri's parents want her to die more slowly?
By denying morphine to Terri, are you saying that Terri's parents want her to die painfully?
DR. WALKER'S BONE SCAN DEPOSITION-----11/21/2003
Now, Dr. Walker....
Q The report goes on to say, "The
10 presumption is that the other multiple areas of
11 abnormal activity also relate to previous trauma."
12 A That's what it says.
13 Q And, again, that's based on the fact that
14 Dr. Carnahan is a rehab physician, that you were
15 asked to evaluate for trauma?
16 A And the pattern of activity is fairly
17 typical of multiple traumatic injuries of relatively
18 recent origin.
19 Q I realize you can't assign a cause to
20 these injuries that you picked up in this report.
21 But typically in your experience, what would be the
22 causes of this pattern of abnormality?
23 A In somebody her age, an auto accident is
24 by far the most typical cause.
25 Q Assume that she was not in an auto
P- 29
1 accident but that she had suffered an anoxic or
2 hypoxic encephalopathy type of injury from a cardiac
3 arrest and had been bedridden for a year at this
4 point. What might account for these abnormalities?
5 A In my knowledge, that type of injury.
6 would not account for this pattern of abnormalities.
22 Q Would a kick be the kind of direct blow
23 that would produce that femoral abnormality?
24 A That would be a possibility, yes.
25 Q Would being thrown into a sharp furniture
Page 65
1 corner?
2 A That would be a possibility.
3 Q Would being struck with some sort of
4 blunt object like a golf club or something do it?
5 A Yes.
Too bad those records are sealed! That doesn't mean they were dismissed. They were never available in the court record!
You people who dismiss the DCF investigation don't know what you're talking about, but you are willing to use the talking points of Felos, the guru.
What case are you following? The DFS has a CURRENT investigation file.
Why even take the time to respond to the troll? He's obviously enjoying riling everyone up, taking away from the time we could be spending praying, contacting our legislators, sending e-mails to everyone we know. I can't believe how many of my friends have no idea what's going on with this. This is truly evil in it's purest form happening right before our eyes. Let everyone you know or are in contact with, know what's going on.
Anyone got the Troll B Gone for ORECON? (hey, I made a rhyme).
Devote your energies to letters in support of Terri instead of explaining to a person of questionable moral who
probably already knows the truth but is probably someone from Felos' office or Laybak's office.
In Florida the system does not work. There are too many abuses of the law to even list them. First of all, Terri left no living will, there is no proof that she would have wanted to die, seems unlikely she would have chose a horrible, slow way to be killed.
First off please show me where I have thumped the Bible. The only quotation from the Bible I have ever posted on FR is "I am what is". This wasn't even in reference to Terri.
I am not referencing the Bible. In fact logic alone rules in this case without even looking to the Bible. See, we are all born with a single right that all other rights emanate: the right to life. The facts are clear in this instance. Terri should not be denied her right to life by anyone - period. When it comes to this fundamental right I, nor any free thinking logical individual, could give a flip about what some judge has to say. I don't care what any authority says because no one has the right to deny someone the right to live.
Second, you can show me all the court transcripts in the world and I'll tell you that they, too, are incorrect. Why, you might ask? It's simple. Their premise is incorrect. All rulings have assumed that Terri was brain dead. She obviously IS NOT BRAIN DEAD NOR IS SHE A VEGETABLE. Got that?
We must have crossed in transmitting. Thanks for the response. Wonder what the problem was. Seems like Greer is some kind of "king" down there - everyone does what he says. It REALLY needs to be investigated!
Greer will go down in history as the 21st century Justice Blackmon. Invalids, beware.
Course not! Just some people seem to think that Terri's hooked up to all sorts of equipment, and I have to point out that they are wrong when they think she will die quickly and painlessly. It's still not okay , no matter how they do it. Quick or lengthy. This will be murder.
What does Santorum plan to do? Storm the hospice and spirit Terri away?
I'd applaud him if he did, but let's face it . . . most Congressional speech is just posturing, and all this talk is more mere wind.
The file was sealed by Greer. How could you possibly know the contents of the sealed file?
What if Arlen Specter doesn't give him permission?
That is a hateful comment. Leave the children out of this. You do your cause no good by publishing such remarks.
