They aren't dating until they are thirty. I have a shotgun, a shovel and acreage.
I've got two girls (not twins) 2 1/2 and 1.
I'm not looking forward to their teen years at ALL!
When I was in the hospital with girl No. 1, there was apparently a run on girls. All the daddies were standing around in the hospital corridor chatting,
"Yup, gonna have to get a shotgun."
"Yeah, and a mean dog."
"Gonna leave my American Rifleman mags lying around."
It was funny to listen to them, but they sure love their baby girls! My husband is a huge bear of a man with a big bushy red beard (at least it USED to be red), and he always makes it a point to shake the hands of the boys who ask our daughter out (she's almost 17 now), look 'em straight in the eye, and say, "Now you take care of my little girl, y'hear?" They extricate their hand from his size 13 paw and murmur, " . . . yessir . . . "
He's actually a sweet darling who is kind to animals and a very popular Scoutmaster . . . but they don't know that.
