Our twin girls are Lauren Michelle & Mallory Lena. They are 12 now, and I really won't mind their teen years. I just hope they like boys.

Congratulations from a father of twins....

No particular name suggestions, just give your daughters names that have meanings to you and your wife....My son is named after his great-grandfathers and my daughter is named after her great-grandmother and great-great grandmother....

Two things to remember with twins....

1. Twice stressed, but twice blessed!

2. What is a toy to a single child is a weapon to a twin....

Relax now....you are going to need your rest when your twins get here!

I always liked the name Rayanne.....but no one in the family would go for it. Etyimology would suggest it is a combo of "counsel grace."

Awww you're so lucky..congrats! When I was pregnant for my third child the doc. said "you're so big, you must be having twins"...after an ultrasound he says "nope, there's only one, but it's a girl"...I was disappointed not to be having twins but I got all my daughters pink things out, decorated the baby's room all girly and pink...had the name "Madeline" (Maddie) picked out..a few months later, I gave birth to a big fat, strapping BOY! He's now 14..6 feet, 230 lbs and his dream is to be in the NFL..we shall see! Good luck, and God bless you and your family!

Hillary and Chelsea

Now why would you want to do such a thing to two sweet, innocent baby girls?

;-)

No matter what you call 'em, people are gonna get 'em mixed up...
So why not just give 'em the same name and save a lot of confusion?

The biggest fight my husband and I ever had was over the babies' name when I was pregnant.

These are the girl names he liked:
Tiffany
Savannah
Dakota
Cheyenne
or Shannon (which is pretty but with our Greek last name sounded like a disease).

We had a boy thank God.

Don't give them any porno/stripper names like Tiffany or AmberLynn.

Dear God are you right on that one!
I didn't think my duaghter's name was a stripper name, just a little unusual.  Then, there I am a couple of years later, relaxing at a favorite adult establishment, enjoying the talent and a beverage of my own choosing, my buddy is getting a lap dance when the D.J. comes over the P.A. and says "Next up... [insert O_E's daughter's name here]"
My blood ran cold.  If I didn't have to wait for my buddy to return I would have been off like a shot at that moment.  You NEVER want to be in a spot like that!

Jessica is a great name... but there must be a hundred of then at my daughter's school.

How about Alexandra and Cassandra? There's a wealth of nicknames available and they're good, strong names.

Madison
Jordan
Brandy
Candy
Misty
The list goes on and on.

My sisters and I always say if you name a daughter "Crystal," she'll end up on the Jerry Springer Show. (Is that show still on?)

My apologies in advance to any FReepers who might be named "Crystal."

Oh, and whatever you eventually decide on, be sure to tell the Mrs. that you got the idea off of FreeRepublic.  She'll really like that.

C'mon, Owl. You know the strippers use fake names when they dance. :^) My local establishment has Diamond, Isis, Jasmine, Madison, Ginger, Haley, Brandy, Chanel, etc. None of which are their real names. I do know a few of the girls' real names, and they're not near as exciting. :^)
