"Three invited pro-military speakers were shocked last Friday when they arrived for a West Seattle High student assembly to confront a theater stage strewn with figures costumed as Iraqi men, women and children splashed with blood.

It was a warm-up for the "Iraq Awareness Assembly" so no students except the actual actors saw the skit before the military guests complained to principal Susan Derse and she put a stop to it. And here comes the crucial part: no teachers or advisers were on hand or evidently even aware of the content although that part is one of several things still under investigation."

Hanoi Kerry and Hanoi Jane must be proud.

Our military bashed, yet again, in 2005

Can't wait to see what Hanoi Jane says on Apr 3 on 60 Minutes.

WAKEUP AMERICA!

Seattle, WA is a hotbed of anti-troop sentiment. Last July 4th, a crowd jeered, booed, and name-called a veteran walking in a parade carrying a pro-Bush sign. Nothing coming out of that sh*thole surprises me anymore.

This little play was not produced by a random group of kids, so it should be a simple matter of looking into the affiliation and the sponsor. If the teacher still claims no knowledge of the content, then the teacher should be fired and the group banned from campus.

"Three invited pro-military speakers were shocked..."

I seriously doubt military men were shocked by such a childish understanding and expression of world events.

It's $#!+ like this that makes you wish for the draft to be reinstated...

It's $#!+ like this that makes me glad we have an all-volunteer force of committed professionals that love our country.

Shocking the communists in Seattle, and in particular west Seattle would do this.

Who woulda thunk the people who put traitors like mcdermott and murray in office, not to mention perpetrated a commie rat fraud sham "election" that put a commie stooge in the governor's office, would do something like this?

Shocking, just shocking.

I wonder if anyone at that pathetic state institute brought up the odd coincidence that today, the first day of a full Iraqi parliament (government of the people...to answer the bumper sticker: I want my democracy, now!), just happened to convene on the anniversary of Hussein using chemical weapons to kill 5000 Kurds who dared to disagree with him.

They have democracy because we went to war for them. Freedom isn't free. And given the spectacle of these snot-nosed brats and snot-nosed teachers, I truly fear for freedom in this country.

"It's all that damn rain and lack of sunshine. "

Yup, Scotland is the same way. You have some that are fearless and clear thinking, but you have a large number that are out of their minds. Socialism goes over big there.

My son graduated from this fine establishment of lower learning last year. He had many run-ins with the wacko faculty there, being a properly-raised conservative. Nothing surprises me coming from this school.

It would appear to me that the inmates are running the prison.

"High school students have every right to question the war in Iraq..."

...in the privacy of their own home where discussions with their parents(I shudder at the thought) should take place. School should be an institute of education. Of learning, not a facility for student activism. Certainly not for youths who are too immature to truly understand what war is all about, let alone global politics.

Still, no one wants a rancid replay of the days when young Vietnam War vets returned to pigs' blood and cries of "Baby killer!"

I disagree. I believe there are plenty of people who would just love to see a return of those days.
