We are the same people with different experiences.
What I meant was that, our lives are shaped by our experiences. I as a black, conservative, protestant, middle-class, military wife person may have a different life experience than a Hispanic, Catholic, upper class male has. But our aspirations may be the same. We want a good home life, good job, money, education etc. etc.
