Now, THAT'S the way to handle felons.
For later.
Baghi has been given a 15 year prison term.
Why the huge discrepancy in sentences?
"Damn... There's something to say for Iranian justice."
Considering the nature of his crimes, this was indeed JUSTICE.
April 21, 1973: Arrested in Redwood City for being a minor in possession of liquor,..
So if he enters the Army (presumably with parental approval), what is he, 17?
And by 4-73, hed be just shy of 19?
WTF was the legal drinking age in CA in 1973? I ask because in TX it was 18. In Louisiana it was 17. In Florida I recall that it was 18. I think 18 was pretty common at one time.
Maybe he went in the Army at 16? My uncle dropped out of HS and went into the Army, but I recall he had to be 17 even with parental permission. Maybe he had been emancipated or something?
This is one custom of Islamic culture that I agree with. The punishment for those who hurt children should be swift and brutal. In America our prisons are loaded with these child rapists who are let out after serving only five to ten years for the crime of destroying a young life.
I have often thought that the relative rarity of child murder or sexual abuse in earlier days was because either the family or local community inflicted swift and lasting justice on any individual caught in the act or convicted at trial. Now that western society is more "enligtened" we allow these criminals to roam and hunt with only occasional lapses behind bars to interfere in their favorite activity.
I liked this one... too bad she missed.
Well, the Ayahtolahs got at least this part right.
If this evil vermin were caught in America, he would outlive many of the survivors of his crimes.
