Here's the message I sent:

Thank you sir for your brave stance despite huge opposition from members of your government and some of the populace. The world is a better place for your efforts and clear thinking, and for the extraordinary efforts of your brave men and women in arms (and at home) that realized that the battle of freedom versus tyranny is an ongoing struggle.

History includes enough examples of the unspeakable horrors of war that directly affected your country (and spared ours) in WWI and II. We should never blindly count ourselves so fortunate again.

Please use my message as you see fit as encouragement to widows and their family that their ultimate sacrifice in these efforts were appreciated deeply here in the United States.

Thank You Britain.

My addendum:

Whereas, the Prime Minister has shown absolute contempt for Parliament.

Whereas, the Prime Minister has deconstructed the delicate balance of the British constitution - rewriting what took centuries to create on the back of a napkin.

Whereas, the Prime Minister has repeatedly mislead the country on a number of issues.

Whereas, the Prime Minister has presided over a government which has dramatically increased government spending.

Whereas, the Prime Minister has presided over a government which has repeated raised taxation.

Whereas, the Prime Minister has presided over a government which has rejected the previous fiscal stability in favour of a large and growing public deficit.

Whereas, the Prime Minister has included in his Cabinet those shown to have engaged in corrupt and sleazy behaviour (including misuse of office).

Whereas, the Prime Minister has politicised the safety of the realm in an attempt to undermine the liberties of the British people.

Whereas, the Prime Minister has fomented a class-war to appease his left-wing back-benchers.

Whereas, the Prime Minister has presided over the continued and accelerated destruction of the British countryside.

Whereas, the Prime Minister has shown contempt for the ownership of private property.

Whereas, the Prime Minister has increased the level of European integration, passing many more powers from the sovereign government of the United Kingdom to the bureaucratic regime of the European Union.

Whereas, the Prime Minister has consistently mislead the British people about the diminution of British sovereignty caused by the E.U.

Whereas, the Prime Minister launched a war on the sovereign state of Serbia to appease terrorists closely connected with al Qa'eda.

Many of the British people are heartily sick of this grotesque administration, and sincerely hope that Blair will be removed in the very near future.

Here's mine....

Prime Minister Blair & the British People:

Two days after 9-11 I woke up to go to work in Manhattan as I normally do, it was dark and raining.

Before leaving I sat in my living room thinking about how the world had changed so suddenly. I realized we would shortly be at war and how life as I once knew of it would change forever.

I sat in my living room and thought about my 7 year old daughter and the world she would be inheriting. That Tuesday changed everything. My generations’ watershed had come.

I cried, for I knew what was to come would be very painful and full of sacrifice. I knew many, many more Americans would die in the years to come. But I knew history would judge our legacy on how we responded to the challenge; failure was not an option.

So as I prepared to walk out of the house that morning, I realized America's hour had come. I also understood, America and its citizens, might have to go this one alone.

At that moment, I saw Prime Minister Tony Blair and the British House of Commons live on C-SPAN. I listened to speaker after speaker profess their support for America.

CSPAN replayed the scene from Buckingham Palace during the Changing of the Guard. I was incredibly moved by the obvious grief stricken faces of those British subjects who attended the ceremony.

It was made very clear that we were not alone; another nation was grieving with us during our darkest hour; another nation understood the depth of our loss.

Prime Minister Blair referred to us as cousins at that time. So cousins, thank you for standing by us through thick and thin, thank you for letting us know that freedom's burden is not just for America to defend and carry. Thank you for letting us know that we were not, and never will be, alone.

The Brit media I think was even more brutal on PM Blair than our media is on Bush. That's ok, Tony has earned his place in history as the anti-Chamberlin and the Iraqi people are glad for him.

No. As my tag-line states, I am English. Thus I suffer under the Blair administration on a daily basis. I simply wish that more American conservstives would realise that Blair is simply Clinton with a small dash of marital fidelity.

Indeed they have, and rightly so.

Were I an American, I should have been delighted to cast a vote for an honourable and decent man like President Bush. As I Conservative I would never vote for a Socialist party (such as Mr. Blair leads), but even putting party aside I prefer to support politicians who know of concepts such as honour and decency - both of which Blair lacks to a very great extent.

In terms of foriegn policy Blair is good but domestically it is different. His policies on welfare, hunting, Europe and abortion are truely horrid. But his alleigiance with America and the Iraqis is to be admired. Thank you for making this thread.
