Did you notice that before the show started, they posted their stats which were overwhelmingly in favor of not sustaining her and many lives with the feeding tube? Their poll, to influence the viewers. People as a rule, especially those not familiar with the case, want to go along with the majority.

Yes, and I wondered where they found those people. Evidently not from graveyards, as is done for elections. (/sarcasm)

The two did not perform well, and Michael's false indignation was palpable.

Michael, especially, seemed to be *sweating* - probably with guilt. He knows where the lies are, and that he's behind the 8 ball. He was hanging on by his fingernails, hoping that the viewers would swallow the cr@p he was dishing out. Both Michael and Felos definitely were not confident.

But I have to say there are significant numbers of people who think that Terri should be starved, and it probably is true that it is happening all over the country every day, whether there are advance directives or not.

It's probably true, just as there were partial birth abortions for a while before the term came to common public knowlege.

I fear one might be going on across the alley from me as I write this . . .and it is none of my business . . . catholic family. Everything? disconnected and brought home to die as of today . . .I just didn't have the heart to ask . . .found out quite coincidentally as I normally don't talk around the hood much . . .

I've noticed that there are FReepers who have come face to face with health care issues, this week, in one way or another. Their experiences drive home the point that one never knows when one will have to deal with these issues, and that the dangers are real.

Interesting and sadly the big local news story is about 17 horses who were being starved by their owner. People rushing down to adopt them, fund set up to help feed them, public outrage. Lots of pictures including one gross one of a hideous tumor on a leg with the vet looking at it.

Whatta crazy world. Don't think they said anything about Terri on the local news. Guess it isn't newsworthy enough.

An astute reporter would instantly grasp the irony of it (but probably not be allowed to tell in suchwise because everybody loves horses, starving or not, but not everybody loves people . . .

Here's the horse story. It should have it's own thread, but I'm feeling lazy:

Ag officials building case against horse owner

This happens a lot around here. I wonder what goes wrong. The man didn't look evil. Maybe people get depressed and stop caring for their animals properly, have money problems buying feed, just don't know. I'm not making excuses. You just wonder.
