Thanks again though, but I'll wait for the facts to come in before I jump to any conclusions. Berlusconi has been a friend in this war, so I'm not going to make any cynical assumptions based on incomplete information. (I'd never trust Chirac or Schroeder about any thing any time, but Berlusconi is different).

In any case, the Coalition/Iraqi troops will cover whatever is vacated by the Italian troops, and it won't hurt our war effort there. We will continue to defeat the enemy, with, or without the Italians, and I, for one, am grateful for what they have done in Iraq.

In total agreement with my buckeye friend. No biggie if they all pulled out today. But the timing sucks for our #4 in troop strength ally, and eyebrows will raise regardless.
