He is rich enough to afford those SUV's that he does not own, and can pay for their gas. Ordinary folks like us would like cheaper gas, and gas without political risks, so drilling in ANWAR makes sense.
To state that the drilling causes wildlife damage is nonsense. For example, the population of elk and deer in Prudhoe Bay has risen since exploration was started. Population damage was done by oil drillers in former communist countries but not by Big Oil.
I would actually like to see if Kerry makes it to the Senate to debate this - he so rarely makes an appearance there
