I agree with you completely. About 16 ago, my ex-husband of nearly a year kicked down the back door of my house. I was able to call 9-11 and throw the phone down before he located me in the house. He held a gun to my head and threatened to kill me if I didn't take him back. I told him "Sure, I'll take you back." I said all kinds of things to keep him from pulling that trigger.
Eventually, the police arrived as they had been listening to the entire ordeal through the dropped phone. I told him I'd get rid of them so we could restart our lives together. Thankfully, he actually believed me. As soon as I opened the front door, I bolted. He was arrested and no relationship ensued.
This lady did what she had to do to stay alive.

It's human instinct to do anything necessary to preserve our own life and the lives of our loved ones. Her instincts kicked in along with the adrenaline and she likely handled it better than anyone else could have.

I'm glad you did what you needed to do to stay alive, and are therefore with us to tell us your story today.

I am amazed at how people can slam her, never having gone trough this ordeal.
It was cool to see how calm, collected and mature she is for just twenty six years old.
I wonder if the nay sayers could tell us all just what they'd have done differently. Compassion is a real trait of a Christian.
It's plain easy to feel sorry for a person who has made such a mess of their lives. It's not like she hashed up a plan or protested to keep him out of jail. Also, she never called him a victim.
