I'm going to be on Bill O'Reilly's show on Fox News Channel tonight, as part of their coverage of the aftermath of the Nichols shooting here in Atlanta.
The angle that tonight's show is going after is the history of corruption and incompetance of the Fulton County Sheriff's Department, first under prior sheriff Jackie Barrett, then under recently elected sheriff Myron Freeman.
The other guest in my segment will be Dick Williams, moderator of WAGA/Fox 5's The Georgia Gang and a writer with the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
The segment is set for somewhere between 8 and 10 minutes past the hour; The O'Reilly Factor airs tonight at 8 & 11 ET.
The consensus was that you were great and a consummate professional.
We want more! ;)
Well, someone DID ask earlier about a photoshopped pic... :)
I'll be watching. David Wilhelm, Nicol's last victim, will be buried in Salisbury, NC, (pronounced SAULsbury, not SALSbury as some MSM say it), not far from where I live. When Ashley Smith recounted how Nichols had said he was more comfortable in the bathroom, I noted w/chagrin that he had killed 40 yo Wilhelm in the bathroom where he was laying tile for his new home. No doubt Mrs. Wilhelm would have met the same fate had she not left earlier to return to their apartment.
Damn, I missed the first 10 minutes. I watched O'Reilly bitch abot the guy with his 2 guns like gun ownership alone is a crime.
I'm not at all surprised to hear you did great. Congrats.
You looked great and you sounded even better.
No, wasting millions of state money on Grady and the Georgia Dome are not cool to me, it's just that my beef with the city government lies with the infrastructure and the sewer system. Let your interest lie with Grady and theGA Dome, and I'll harp about my interests. Is that OK?
Sure. But we're talking about the same thing. I want Atlanta to be a great city; don't you?

I am from Savannah, but I live in Los Angeles now, after having had my skull fractured in an attempted armed robbery on Cone Street in ATL, right down the block from the courthouse. Reject from the methadone clinic sticks a gun in my face; I tell him to f*ck off; he shoots me in the hand; I mule kick him to the pavement, get on top of him and begin smashing his face in with my uninjured right fist; he hits me in the head with his gun. APD shows up and takes me down as if I'm the perp, despite the fact that the guy still has the gun in his hand and I'm spraying blood like a fountain. Witnesses scream at the cops that the other guy shot me and they finally get a clue as to what is going on. Calling APD clowns is an insult to clowns.
Savannah gets more than its share of federal money for the harbor, new bridge et cetera, but those expenditures actually do provide monetary benefit for the rest of Georgia.
Do you live in the metro area?
did live in Buckhead for 18 years. Right on NancyCreek. It was great for wildlife, right in the middle of a huge city...fox, beaver, huge tortoise, cranes ... and when the creek overflowed with huge rains, it was like having a river in our backyard. We'd watch entire pine trees float down the creek. Must ahve been 30 feet across, 15 feet deep. But this creek and other waterways were polluted from the sewer systems. That's my beef with Jackson,Capbell, and Young (I forgot him). I took a long walk to Phipps plaza once and saw femininine hygiene products flowing out of the sewer onto the sidewalk. F'n disgusting! And of course the schools were "inner city" and therefore, majority black. Which was ok for elementary and middle schools (those were great) but North Atlanta High School was rough, bussing kids from South Atlanta, some 19/20 years old, some pregnant, that kind of thing. So we sold the Bukchead home and moved to Roswell/Holcomb Bridge road to a nice highschool district. Taxes cut in half and no sewage to worry about.
But, still, I work in Buckhead, my parents live here, I love Atlanta. Thre are good things about it.
Los Angeles has its share of crack nuts and methadone treatment cneters, doesn't it?
