The three counties is an arbitrary number placed on "travel" by some authorities.
The history that I learned on it is that if you're traveling, any place you stay is considered your domicile and you are allowed to carry protection. Under that interpretation, some localities would frown on a loaded weapon in a vehicle while traveling, because you have not reached the domicile yet.
The other is how to define large sums of Money. I can go to locations in any county where they will kill for 5.00
That is why I say the laws and exceptions are muddy waters, and it is better to get the permit. The class itself clears up so many questions
