When Ashley Smith was in her car following Nichols as he ditched the stolen truck, she could have easily just disconnected from him then. However, she was fearful that Nichols would kill others. This is an incredible woman.

A double or reverse 'Stockholm Syndrome' may have taken place.

"My husband died four years ago, and I told him if he hurt me my little girl wouldn't have a mommy or a daddy," Smith said. "I asked him why he chose me, and he said he didn't know. But after we began to talk, he said that I was an angel and that he was lost and God led him right to me."

The DUers are making fun of the fact that she is a religious woman and that Nichols said God brought her to him.

I sincerely feel sorry for the DUers sometimes.
