WHY does Taiwan have to remain part of China?
Everyone assumes it must reunify.
Why?
"Everyone assumes it must reunify"
We do not push for reunification.
We say there is only one China, so that Taiwan will not declare independence and catapult the Red Commies into a massive assault on Taiwan.
We further say there is a recognized dispute between Taiwan and the Mainland, and that they must TALK and resolve the dispute PEACEFULLY, NOT BY WAR.
As little as we like it, that nevertheless is the status quo, NOT a push to bring Taiwan under the Mainland's boot.
