That's a joyful post, and it's great to read.
You and the good Doctor have been given a great gift: you get to fall in love with each other all over again.
:O)
I will personally answer everybody here and everybody who's
sent FR mail to me, just as soon as I can. You ALL mean
so much to me. I tear up reading your comments, prayers and
best wishes.
Right now, I am afraid to let him out of my sight,
so I have him wake me every time he gets up. He wanted
to walk tonight, so we walked up and down the block.
All the grandchildren who live locally were able to
visit this evening to assure themselves that "Papa"
is OK. We hid the drainage thing with the little
attached bag under the long sleeve of his shirt.
It's said that doctors are the worst patients...
and, I think there's some merit to that old adage.
I've already caught him carrying a kitchen stool
and draining that little bag by himself... the contents
are supposed to be measured and recorded, not deposited directly into the sink.
Thanks again everybody.
He's up now, so I'm on duty.
