Received word this morning that my brother, Orvil L. Robinson, of San Antonio, Texas died yesterday afternoon after fighting a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jane (Hodges) Robinson, two children, Cheryl Moran of San Antonio and Jeff Robinson of California, and several grandchildren. He was retired from the U.S. Weather Bureau. He was a US Navy veteran. Served as a meteorologist aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge in the '50s. He was a good and decent, loving man who will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
My condolences; I'm so sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your family.
Your brother has left a loving legacy...
May you be comforted during this time of longing and grief...
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. May your happy memories of him stay close to you always.
The loss of a brother is so hard to bear. A brother knew us when we were young, and shared the joys and sorrows of growing up. A brother was there when we had those problems in our teen years, sided with us when we thought the guys down the street were picking on us, gave us comfort and an example as he went off into the world. Brothers know us better than most, and it is hard to tell them good-bye.
As Jim says farewell to his brother Orvil, may he be comforted by fond famiy memories and the knowledge that they will meet again some day.
Comfort the families, and bless Orvil as he enters Your heavenly kingdom.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
Prayers up Jim.
Sorry for your loss.
Lord, God,
Please comfort his family and all who knew him. May he rejoice ever in the intimacy of Your Presence.
May those left with such a huge loss draw closer to you, Lord as well as to each other in Your Love, Your Peace, Your Comfort, Your Wholeness, Your Provision, Your Safety. May you guide all of us in such a walk with You that we may all meet in Heaven around Your Throne, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Amen.
Amen!
LUB,
Quix
Prayers for peace and comfort for you and all of his family.

God Bless you and your family at this time--I know there is nothing in words that I can say, but having lost my mother recently, I know that the loss is painful---
Please just keep the good thoughts of your brother's life up front and center and it helps---that is what I have done!!!
Dear Jim
Truly, truly, I say to you, if any one keeps my word, he will never see death.
-- John 8:51
Sounds to me that your beloved brother, Orvil, is being well taken care of now.
May the Lord have taken him Home and may He also continue to bless you and all of those you love, especially including Orvil's family. You are in our prayers.
