"Joe Lieberman for the Supreme Court."

That is not the worst idea I've ever heard. He was attorney general of CT for quite a while, wasn't he? I have no idea what his ideas on jurisprudence (is that the right word?) would be, but I think he'd probably sail through the nominating procedure. One thing about him, I've never heard about him being financially corrupt in any way, for a dem, heck for a pol, that's pretty good.

Ill admit he never got snagged with any corruption scandals, but he also never said the same thing twice...with one exception: The security of Israel.

That is the ONLY issue he is strong on, defense and anti-terrorism in the mid east.

Gulf War one, he waffled, and waited to vote for it until there was a majority. At least Dodd was open and voted against it right away, he is more consistent!

Thats debatable, there have been more then a few questions raised in the past about him regarding corruption, but those accusasions usually came from the left (his own party), regarding his ties to several accounting firms, plus enron and worldcom, etc.

However, I have never seen any evidence to suggest that the left was on target with any of their accusations.
