Browsed that one already. I think the WMD went to Lebanon via Syria. I find it amazing the Iraqis had the focus to gut those facilities in the midst of being attacked - but they did. They had their priorities and Saddam's #1 priority was to get any WMD (most was already exported to Syria at that time) and to dismantle any remaining evidence.

They'll be eating crow pie for a long time over at the NYT.

look, I suspect something along those lines, too, but NewsMax has (once again) played fast and loose with the facts in its article: The NYT made no such admission, it made NO SUCH "dramatic about-face".

I hope that in the fullness of time the facts will force the Slimes to eat a hogshead of crow, but we ain't there yet, and this NewsMax article does nothing but fool some of us into thinking we ARE.

We'd look like ASSES if we went into debate armed only with NewsMax spin.

REPEAT AFTER ME: THERE IS NO ABOUT-FACE.

At MOST, the NY Times article says the UN was wanting to know what happened to MONITORED CHEMICALS..i.e. stuff that was not in violation of UN resolutions but they were keeping track of it.

CHEMICALS......NOT CHEMICAL WEAPONS.

Newsmax is just once again lying to try to twist the facts and get readers.
