I spent my early years at that mall, just a few years after it was built, hanging onto my Mom's hand for hours. It's where I learned to hate shopping, one of the best gifts my Mom ever gave me. I've hated malls ever since.

I grew up in South Milwaukee (not to be confused with the South SIDE of Milwaukee) and it took us what seemed like all day to get to Brookfield Square. That was before Southridge was built. I remember being mesmerised by that fountain....
