Eight people are dead and four others injured after gunfire broke out during a church meeting this afternoon at the Sheraton Hotel in Brookfield. Police say that the suspect is among the eight dead and no other suspects are being sought.
The dead range in age from 10 years old to 72.
Figure it's a juvenile, there, rose?
Church Group (not sure which one yet), 5 people dead (including gunman), ranging in age from 16 to in their 60's.
WTMJ radio reporting.
Really. I'd have thought it hard to get a coherent conspiracy theory up and running that fast!
There are always a few bad ones. However, IF the other people in the hotel had been ARMED, THEY could perhaps have prevented a few of the deaths. Police cannot (IMHO) protect us from evil people. Often they arrive after the fact (not their fault). Citizens SHOULD carry and help take care of themselves. I've had enough of us being sitting ducks. Obviously people who have serious mental illness or are criminals are not going to think too much about breaking laws. Sheesh.
Shooting at 12:51pm. Church of God group which meets reguarly there at the hotel conference room.
I was just two blocks from the hotel. It's a crazy scene. The Brookfield Police are VERY professional, so they will get to the bottom of this ASAP, but this is an upscale suburb where stuff like this just DOES NOT HAPPEN.
The closest Fuddruckers to me is about 100 miles away so I know how you feel.
At least one option.

Not sure, but this came up through Google.
There is no legal carry in Wisconsin. (Open carry is legal, but not possible.)
I just went to the site and I already feel weird. Why is that??
I'm going back for more input. (I like to be more rational in approach.)

5 dead after shooting at Brookfield, Wis., hotel
Associated Pfress
March 13, 2005 BROOK0313
BROOKFIELD, Wis. - A shooting at a church function at the Sheraton hotel left five people including the gunman dead and sent several people to area hospitals Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
The gunman apparently shot and killed himself, said Brookfield Police Department Daniel Tushaus.
"There is nobody else being sought at this time as a suspect,'' he said.
Seven to eight people, ages from early teens to the 60s, were taken to hospital and were in serious condition, he said.
The shooting was reported to police at 12:51 p.m. Tushaus said it occurred during a regularly scheduled church service at the hotel.
No, no theory. Nothing seems related. It's just odd.
I'm waiting for coherent here

Trolling for conflict?
Keep waiting until you hear a conspiracy theory.
We have legal carry, but after you add schools, churches, restaurants, no-shooting zones, city/county/state buildings etc -it doesn't amount to much.
Upscale just means those involved are probably dressed nicer and the visual is different.
Looks more like you are. I'm commenting on specific posts, ideas.
