It would be fitting if the Mullahs were overthrown the same day.

Stephanopoulos has been "auditioning" as Koppel's possible replacement, to less than enthusiastic ratings, say ABC officials. Georgie wasn't content to f*ck up just one news program.

In all those years, I can't recall a single time I ever watched Ted Koppel.

Yeah you did. You watched the old Howdy Doody show didn't you? That was Koppel too.

There's always another career for him to fall back on: advertising for hair restoration cream, dye, and/or toupees.

Without intending to, "Nightline" contributed to Reagan's election in 1980 because it started as a daily re-cap of the Iran hostage crisis -- every night the title of the show would be "America Held Hostage -- Day 245" (or whatever the number of days was at the time.) This kept it in the public's face and helped re-enforce the pressure on Carter. Along, of course, with inflation and high unemployment and interest rates and all the other highlights of the Carter Presidency.

I agree with you, Jennings is the one I like the least. He always has to interject his opinions into everything!

I don't miss "Nightline" or Jimmy Carter. I quit watching "Nightline" after "Day 100-something of America Held Hostage". You can only take so much of a nightly dose of screaming, unwashed fanatics in dirty nightshirts, snake-in-the-grass Iranian spokesmen, and an endless parade of foolish liberals who think that dealing with fanatics is somehow possible. Thank God that Ronald Reagan put an end to that nonsense. Ted Koppel won't be missed in my household.

Watching 3-Letter news and counting on it for factual and unbiased information is like putting all your extra money in the lottery year after year and just knowing that 'one of these days' you are going to win big.
I don't watch 'em.

I don't watch 'em. I don't watch 'em either.
Except for certain times. Like last Wednesday, the 9th.
Rather's last broadcast on the SeeBS Evening Lies.
I tuned in the last 10 minutes, just in time to see his "Courage" BS
Courage BS.
