Perot was nuttier than an outhouse rat. He sabotaged his own campaign with that goofy "GH Bush wrecked my daughters wedding with ninjas on the lawn" story. But, he wanted Bush to lose, and he succeeded at that.
Perot didn't win a single electoral vote.
If true, they can go to hell. There is no one above the immorality of murder, no matter who they are.
These people are just people married to politicians anyway. Who in their right mind thinks politicians have any moral insight the rest of us don't have?
To the positions the debaters have, it is. But to the debate, finding the right answers to the actual questions, it isn't.
Also, there are few cases where it's a question of the mother terminating the pregnancy or dying. And there are other ways of terminating a pregnancy than killing the baby. Doctors can induce labor, and they can perform C-sections. We don't need to talk about this as if the woman has an abortion or dies.
That's what you said when we were discussing ectopic pregnancies. I sounded like some mothers thought they could save an ectopic pregnancy.
>>>If she had killed the baby, an innocent, she would have been a murderer.>>>
The owner of my children's daycare is in a position just now. She just found out she is 6 weeks pregnant. She also just found out through ultrasound she has four tumors on her ovaries that aren't looking like the good kind. She is in her late 30's, so the odds are there that it is cancer. She has a choice, have a hysterectomy and end the pregnancy, or continue the pregnancy and not have chemo and give the cancer (if it is) another 9 months to grow. She has an 8 year old son. What advice does the ALL ABORTIONS ARE MURDER crowd have for her?
We had exact opposite responses. I am ready to vote for her now. I like what she says about the government's staying out of it.
The absolutists here describe those who support the three exception rule as on the other side as well.
And how is that fact relevant?
Why would anyone perform a C-section on a 3 month pregnancy where the child has no chance at survival? I'm asking honestly. I've never had children and never been pregnant so I'm ignorant about that and confused.
I have no idea what your "Three exception rule" is. And I don't care about Republicans. You refer to them as if they are special somehow.
Fact is, every mother I've ever known has told me they would put the life of their child first, if it ever came down to it.
Thankfully, it almost never does. The life of the mother 'exception' is 99.99999% nothing but a pro-abort red herring.
Thank you, you illustrate my point perfectly! Millions of American's are murdered every year through legalized abortion. A Republican surrender on the issue of abortion could push back its eventual abolition many decades, costing tens of millions more American lives than would otherwise die through this horror. This doesn't matter to those selfish partisans who would rather have another Republican presidential term than save the lives of these innocent Americans. Allow me to summarize for you:
The Republican Party is not going to nominate someone who is even "mildly" pro-choice, unless that person opposes abortion except in cases of rape and incest. That is, by George W. Bush's lights, a pro-life position.
That's why I think that John McCain is going to show signs of life in the primary direction after the 2006 elections. McCain would still like to be president, and, unless Cheney quits and Bush nominates Rice to fill the VP spot, he'd have a great shot in 2008.
Watch McCain start courting the Christian right early next year.
You must have me mixed up with someone who cares about that PC crap.
We are talking about human beings being murdered.
I can't imagine they would. The baby is small enough to pass easily. If they could not induce labor that early, perhaps. Pitocin doesn't always work, but a c-section is major surgery, best to be avoided, if possible.
And for five years, I've watched you continue to berate anybody who doesn't agree with YOU as a liberal.
But I see you're kicking into high gear on this issue already.
If we don't agree with you, we HAVE to be a "liberal lover" or an "Obama lover" or an "Open Borders lover" or an "Euthanasia lover."
So predictable.
