Same thing happened in my state of Alabama. Our Governor, former US Representative Bob Riley, ran a straight-right ticket to beat the democrat incumbent. While in Congress he was a model conservative. But as soon as he took the reins of the state, he tried to pass a comprehensive tax increase bill that was the democrats wet dream. He kept saying (as if this would help) that Alabamians have the lowest property taxes in the nation, so why can't we just "give" a little more? It even got to the point that some where trying to make having low property taxes look like a bad thing. Anyway, his big tax plan got spanked. Now he's quiet as a church mouse. What is it with these republicans when they get power? Oh well, I doubt he'll win, let alone run for another term.

It is like the situation that the citizens of Colorado face with Ward Churchill---because some idiots gave a guy that doesn't even have a PHD. tenure at a TAX-PAYER supported university, all Coloradans have to contribute to his salary no matter how disgusting his rhetoric is, and how harmful it is to the very children they are paying to go there---

No matter how much residents of states rebel against subsidizing the health, education, and housing of illegal immigrants, it doesn't matter any more---

So where is a list of states that grant this right to illegals? My kid has been talking about going out of state for school next year and I want to point him in the right direction not to have to pay out of state fees.

Another classic example of a good Republican gone bad was Don Sunquist of Tennessee. He campaigned against an income tax and then, after being re-elected, tried to cram through an income tax! The citizens (at least the hard-working, taxpaying, traditional American citizens) of Tennessee rose up and slapped down that idea.

See, it really isn't hard to figure out - - taxes are the fuel that drives the socialist Democrat engine. Democrat politicians love to confiscate money from working, taxpaying, traditional American families (Republicans), and then use that money to buy the votes of their parasite base while at the same time pushing the heroin of big-government cradle-to-grave "care" in order to create even more parasites. (Meaning more Democrat voters.)

It just drives me nuts when Republicans help the Democrats in their scheme.
They may as well slit their own throats.

On and the people at the RNC that are praising Huckabee, couldve had a man like Holt in the senate. if they wouldve backed his campaign. I thought the Republican party wanted to pick up seats, he got 45% of the vote dispite being out spent 7 to 1. Oh yeah I forgot, Holt is anti-illegal immagration, that doesnt fit in the republican party. BTW Pulaskibush, I might be at next months meeting , most likely I will be at may's
