> removing food and water from a helpless person is equal to murder
The question is whether she's a person *anymore*. Medical experts have testified that she's a veg. Brief videos showing *apparent* reactions are not very good rebuttals to expert medical testimony in my view.
Did I say something you disagree with? What was is?
True to some extent, but just how many hours do you want to watch? How long must people have the cameras constantly running? Will Michael allow that or only some when the family is there? Who is truly doing the "editing"?
By that argument, I guess the only way to have full context and meaning is for you to be there yourself for hours on end.
Oh come on! No judge is going to order that she can't have food and water by mouth.
No, she's not. The judge has barred anyone from giving her food or drink orally, even after the g-tube has been removed. You'd think it would be humane to make the attempt rather than giving her the horrible death of starvation--call it a crash course in swallowing.
No. That's not allowed in this case and again I urge you to read more about her.
Don't get me wrong... they're not editted by inserting sounds or such blatant fraud. they are, however, editted in that they are only seconds in duration. Do you think that someone turned on the camera for just a few seconds, and that's what they caught? No. There are almost certainly hundreds of hours of video. With that, you can pick through and find pretty much what you need.
No way! You people are cracking me up. Where do you get this nonsense about her not being allowed to eat and drink? A judge can't, and won't order such a thing.
> True to some extent, but just how many hours do you want to watch?
A great many, if I'm to make a life and death determination. If I was empowered to make such a determination and someone gave me 15 second-bits of tape, I'd be insulted, no matter which side it was.
What do you want to bet that there is video of equal duration to the ones posted that show *no* response? How fair woudl it be to only post those?
Context is important.
Very strange the things you find humorous...
You know she said that do you?
Where's your source? You claim that the judge ordered her not to be allowed to eat or drink. That's ridiculous.
That is precisely what Judge Greer has ordered.
Seems a person who takes money to not kill a person is just as guilty as a person that takes money to kill a person.....
That said I hope the POS takes the money and allows those who want to save her life do so.
No way. A judge can't order that.
You speak boldy about things which you are so clearly ignorant... not a good policy.
See www.terrisfight.org and learn more.
So a lot of people are spreading a rumor, and I'm ignorant because I don't believe it without proof?
"What do you want to bet that there is video of equal duration to the ones posted that show *no* response? How fair woudl it be to only post those?"
OK, so there's equal duration of the opposite. That I don't doubt.
So what do you do now? Sometimes she's responsive, sometimes she's catatonic? So she's in and out. That's not the same as "she's out" all the time.
People who are ill or have concussions are in and out. Are they all assumed "vegetables" cuz they can't always stay conscious, do things and think straight?
BTW, from what I heard she's called PVS - partially vegetative state. Not even whole vegetable? I don't know about any of this stuff (and haven't been following this case closely at all) but that doesn't sound like some1 who's totally hopeless.
ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that Respondents' Emergency Expedited Motion for Permission to Provide Theresa Schiavo with Food and Water by Natural Means is DENIED.
DONE AND ORDERED in Clearwater, Pinellas County, Florida, this 8 day of March, 2005.
GEORGE W. GREER
CIRCUIT JUDGE
Still cracked up, are you?
You have a strange sense of humor... not shared by many. Go to www.terrisfight.org and see the "court documents" link on the left. The document is easy to find.
This is my last post to you since you don't know enough about the case to carry on a conversation.
It is against the law to withhold food or water from an "incapacitated" person in Florida.
