Asked why - 55 years after he abandoned the hate-group - he used the "N"-word twice during an interview on "Fox News Sunday," the ex-Klansman explained:

"Well, I have heard many people use it. I have heard black leaders use it. I've heard white leaders use it."

Oh sure. Blame the victims.

"I saw other people burning crosses on lawns. Respected people in the community. So it was OK."

"Everyone I knew was lynching n's. So I joined in."

"I wouldn't do it today. I don't see anyone putting on sheets around me. Today I fight for different causes, like reproductive rights. Black women should have the RIGHT to kill their babies in the womb. I stand for RIGHTS for black people."

He's "heard many people use it." What kind of people is he hanging around with, anyway? His old Klan buddies? What "white leaders" and "black leaders" did he hear using it, I wonder? If he really thinks that word is okay in today's society, he's not only racist, but senile.
