I haven't had a chance to read through this since mhking's last ping to me, but it seems to me that if the Honda is still in the garage, then he has another vehicle. With no report of another carjacking, this means that the car owner is more than likely a hostage. This would explain why they have been announcing that if someone has a family member/friend that is missing, please call the sherrif immediately.

Police act like they have no idea what he may be driving now, other than it's not a green honda accord. If there are no reports of possible vehicles, missing family members, etc., do you suppose he's holding an entire family hostage?
