I don't know what station you are watching/listening to, but they ARE saying he is a black man with a medium complexion. They are not leaving out the detail of him being black, AND they are showing a picture. You keep saying that they are just saying he is of medium complexion and that is simply not true. It's not that I'm a big fan of the media, but in this case they are describing him accurately.
I haven't seen the Atlanta coverage at all. I'm just speaking to the worthlessness of "medium complexion" as a descriptive term. I do know from experience that the local media outlets in Seattle will often specifically exclude race information when describing at-large violent criminal suspects, when the suspects are black. It's a product of fear------there is clearly nothing racist about describing criminals that still pose a threat to the public, but the Seattle media has been in such a politically correct tizzy that they no longer even know what is and isn't racist.
